The short version. You can use all of Blesse without an account. If you choose to create one, we store your email address and nothing else about you. Your notes stay on your phone. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to count how the app is used — which screens, videos and audio are opened, and how far — under a random ID that is not your name or email. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not track you across other apps.
Who we are
Blesse is an iOS app offering short Bible videos, audio, a King James Version reader and a daily study plan. This policy covers the Blesse app and this website.
What we collect
If you create an account — optional
Signing in is entirely optional. Every video, every audio episode, the Bible reader and the daily plan work without one. If you do create an account, we store:

If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever receive Apple's private relay address. We never see your real one.
How the app is used — analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand what helps people and what gets ignored. It receives:

The install ID is a random number. It is not your email, and we never send your email, name, or the text of your notes to analytics. The same ID is attached to your App Store subscription so we can tell how many people who saw the subscription screen went on to subscribe. Deleting the app resets it.
What stays on your phone
The following is stored only on your device. Analytics receives counts and milestones from it — "a video reached 50%", "a daily step was completed" — never the content. It is deleted when you delete the app:
- Your onboarding answers
- Which daily steps you have completed, and your streak
- How far through a video you watched
- Your focus-session minutes
- Your settings — reminder times, text size, translation
- Any notes you write on a chapter
What we do not collect
No name (beyond the optional Apple first name), no phone number, no contacts, no location, no photos, no health data, no payment details, no browsing history, and no advertising identifier — the iOS advertising ID (IDFA) is never read.
Tracking
Blesse does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not ask to. The analytics above are about Blesse only: they are not linked with data from other apps, other websites or advertising networks, and the iOS advertising ID is never read, so the app does not show the iOS "Allow tracking" prompt. There is no advertising network and no attribution service in the app. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and the iOS prompt will be shown before anything is tracked.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Blesse schedules daily reminders on your device — a verse in the morning, a reading reminder in the evening, and a gentle nudge if you have been away. These are local notifications. No push server is involved and no device token is sent anywhere. You can turn each one off in the app under Settings → Reminders, or all of them in iOS Settings.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use three providers:

Video and audio are served from Supabase Storage. Requesting a file necessarily reveals your IP address to that server, as with any website; we do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
How long we keep it
Your account details are kept until you delete your account. Deleting is immediate and permanent — there is no grace period and no archived copy.
Deleting your account and your data
In the app: Settings (the gear on the Today screen) → Account → Delete account → confirm.
This permanently deletes your account record. It is a deletion, not a deactivation. To also remove what is stored on your phone, delete the app.
You can also email us and we will delete it for you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the UK/EU GDPR and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the data we hold, and to object to how it is used. The data we hold is your email address, an account identifier, and usage analytics under a random install ID, so most requests are satisfied by deleting your account and the app. To have analytics tied to your install ID erased, email us and we will request its deletion from Google. For anything else, email us and we will respond.
Children
Blesse is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, we will update the date below and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
